Moving – Moving – Oh such fun! And a great Engagment session

This summer has been so hectic and crazy all at the same time.

Today school started back, so sad, and great all at the same time.

We moved last week, after selling our house,

we did not have a lot of notice to move, so the last couple weeks have been spent working and packing.

More packing, more working.

We are finally out of our house.

I am excited for the new house, new studio, and everything new.

Unfortunately we are displaced for a few months until the new house is done.

The studio has been moved the south side, and we are living on the west side.

I do not want to just write about our boring move.

I want to tell you about Darcy and Jessica.

I actually photographed their wedding last Saturday,

Buuuut – I have not posted their engagement photos yet,

form forever ago,

so,

here they are.

I love this couple – they are from Fort Macleod, and I will write a little more about them when

I post their wedding. Hopefully sooner than later.

I love this couple.

They were married back in April

(yes I am behind on my blogging, hiding head)

There wedding was so fantastic,

starting with Linda’s wonderful

huge Italian family, I was so shocked as they all arrived at Linda’s parents home before the ceremony.

Right down to her gorgeous Red shoes

and the impromptu parade in downtown Calgary we got to see.

We had a lot of fun in downtown Calgary with these guys.

Even when the rain/snow began to fly,

it did not matter,

because Mike is a chef at Murrieta’s Bar & Grill in Calgary.

We were able to duck into there for more photos.

It was a fantastic location.

Well I have taken a break from the blog,

I am happy to say I am back.

I have many weddings,

portrait sessions, and

newborns to show you, but first:

In June I had the opportunity to head to Vancouver to attend a 5 day,

very intensive workshop with

Jerry Ghionis.

Jerry is an Australian Photographer and

is one of the leaders in the world in my industry.

He is a photographer who has been

an absolute inspiration to me so it was an honor for me to have the opportunity to train with him.

I am very excited about all the new and

amazing things I was a able to learn from him.

Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Group shot of all the attendees and the models. It was great getting to know everyone and making new friends.

We had a guy walking down the street take the photo, so it is a little off center, but you get the idea!

Oh Dear, this time of year my blog gets so neglected.

So many weddings, sessions & engagement shoots.

I am hoping to start doing better!

I have lots of new things coming up that I am so excited about.

Right now I want to talk about miss D.

Isn’t she gorgeous!

She was a natural in front of my camera.

I had such a fantastic time hangin with her.

I need to get back to posting on the blog.

We photographed this wedding on a beautiful day last Month.

This couple is so fabulous.

We had a great time with them.

They were so relaxed, and full of laughs and fun.

Thank you for letting us share your day C & K.

I love the emotion in C’s dad’s face as he hands his daughter off, so sweet.

Loved all the giggles during the ceremony!

They are so full of life.

We actually did there engagement photos last fall.

Back from Vegas – WPPI Print Competition

Sorry that I have been absent, things have been so busy, plus we were away.

For the past 4 years we have attended the WPPI (Weddings and Portrait Photographers Internationl) Convention.

We go every year to receive inspiration, learn new techniques and meet up with good friends.

We are excited about all the new things we have learned, and we are looking forward to putting them into action.

I was very excited to receive 2 accolades of excellence awards for prints that I entered into the print competition.

I have had a few requests to post the images that I received the awards for, so here they are.

I am very honored to receive these awards there were over 3300 entries, the most they have ever had.
